What is Garrafon Park?
Garrafon Park is located on the little island of Isla Mujeres, a short ferry ride from Cancun. Set on cliffs overlooking the incredible Caribbean Sea, you’ll find yourself surrounded by nature, friendly iguanas, soaring birds and a multitude of sea creatures hanging out on the reef. Grab your mask and snorkel and discover the underwater world, harness up for a zip line ride over the water, kayak, ride a bike or simply relax in the hammock garden or infinity pool on the edge of the ocean, there is something for the whole family and every taste at Garrafon Park. The “Royal Garrafon” package includes round trip ferry from Cancun, breakfast and drinks on the boat, lovely lunch buffet and “open bar” in the park, snorkel equipment, life jackets, kayaks and lockers. I love Cancun and Riveria Maya because simply put, it truly feels like being in paradise when you’re there. The sand is beautiful, the water is beautiful and it’s just the most relaxing and happy feeling when we’re there in comparison to our busy, structured home life. I just love it there and it makes me happy.
I love Riviera Maya and Mexico in general. This will be my second trip down on May 27 2011. We visited this past Dec. 28- Jan.4 2011 and stayed at Secrets Maroma with my husband. During that visit we visited Tulum which was magical and cannot not stop dreaming about Mexico. This up coming visit I will be bringing my seventeen year old daudhter and we will be staying at Azul Fives. I just graduated with my nursing degree and now I will be an RN. I could not of completed this journey without the help of my daughter Jordan. She helped with baby sitting my youngest two daughters her sisters, lots of dishes and the endless laundry, and all those mac and cheese meals so I could continue to study. This is my gift to her and it will be her first trip to Mexico. She has been studing Spanish for the last three years in High School and is exceited to implement her knowledge on this visit. My parents turned me on to Mexico when I was younger and in return spent my honymoon there and believe it is paridise on earth. as you can tell from from my email site we love Cancun and the Riviera Maya, we have been to Isla Mujeras 10 years in a row. We feel so comfortable and relaxed and totally safe in all of the Q.ROO area. We love the Mexican and Mayan people we meet each each year, they are so kind,friendly, we attempt to speak our best Espanol and always greet with a smile and often receive many hugs in return. We were in Akukmal in April 2011 and will be returning to the Casa Maya in Cancun in late August. Cant wait.
My husband and I have travelled to the Riviera Maya 5 times in the past 2 years to enjoy the beautiful beaches, visit the architectural sites and snorkel with the turtles. But the best are the people. They are truly gracious and very willing to show us what the true Mexico is all about!! We love returning, knowing that we will be having a wonderful vacation!

Garrafon ROCKS!!! The best natural reef park in Isla Mujeres. where you can enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, ziplining, swimming with Dolphins and the most important thing get relax! That’s why is on my top list places to spend my weekends!
A MUST in Isla Mujeres!
Somos una familia afortunada porque dios nos dio la oportunidad de vivir en este maravilloso lugar. Aquí hemos mejorado nuestra situación en todos los sentidos. Nos gusta la aventura, conocer nuevos lugares hermosos de los tantos que hay en Q. Roo. En una ocasión fuimos a conocer Isla Mujeres y una persona nos mostró por primera vez las instalaciones, debo decir que “por fuera”, nos tomamos fotos. Desde entonces hemos planeado volver y conocer “por dentro”, pero por una u otra cosa no hemos podido. Demos gracias al creador por darnos la oportunidad de disfrutar la naturaleza en todo su esplendor. Gracias.
My husband and I are taking a belated honeymoon to the Riviera Maya in less than a month! We were married in Sept 2010 and had to postpone our honeymoon plans to deal with a death in the family. This will be our first time in Mexico so we are super excited to see the beautiful turquoise waters and get ourselves onto “manana” time.
Since we have never been, it’s hard to say what we love about Cancun and the Riviera Maya. If I had to guess, I’m sure that I will fall in love with the sunshine and the food! He will love the ocean life (he’s scuba certified) and the all-inclusive bar! ;o)
I have ALWAYS wanted to swim with Dolphins and Zip-line so a day at Garrafon Park would be a dream come true! Please consider us for the sweepstakes – it would make our honeymoon amazing!

I love Cancun and The Riviera Maya because it’s the most relaxing place on earth. The people in Cancun are just wonderful, they make you feel home everywere you go, the food is just delicious and the BEACH it is the most beautiful beach I had ever seen, there are so many things to do and see. We go to Cancun every year for my son’s birthday, it’s a tradition to go to Cancun on his birthday, what a gift haaa? he loves Cancun. We’re going on June 7 thru June 14 and we can not wait to be there, we have never been in Garrafon and this will be the perfect gift for my 7 year old son. People in Cancun are blessed to live there, you are so lucky ;0)…. See you soon! =D
Isla Mujeres is like a beautiful tiara that sits off the crown of Yucatan and Garrafon Park is one of Her most beautiful jewels. Not a place to miss if you are fortunate enough to go there .

Pues yo amo a Cancún y la Riviera Maya ya que soy mexicana y pienso que es hermoso cada uno de los rincones de nuestro país; sin embargo, el año pasado tuve la oportunidad de estar en Cancún, Puerto Morelos y Playa de Carmen un mes pero por cuestiones economicas ya no pude visitar Garrafón, he visto imágenes del Parque y me parece que es un Paraíso es por eso que me encantaría ganarme este pase ya que la próxima semana los visitaré de nuevo.
I love Cancun and the Riviera Maya because I love the weather, the beaches and the gorgeous blue sea but more importantly love the amazing mexican people who are so loving and make you feel more welcome than anywhere else in the world. Looking forward to my next trip in July which will be my 8th visit in 10 years all the way from UK but this time we are bringing Cypriot friends and it will be there first ever trip to Cancun…..xx
Cancun & the Riviera Maya is my favorite vacation spot in the world because there is so much to see and do. I have been vacationing there since 1989 and still there is so much I have not yet visited, including Garrafon Park. The beaches are so beautiful as are the Mexican people. I want to book another trip there after typing this comment and it’s only been 6 weeks since I last vacationed there. “I ♥ Mexico”

Why do I love Riviera Maya and Cancun? What’s NOT to love about that piece of paradise? Amo que sea parte de mi país, poder decir que soy de México, en donde está Cancún, la Riviera Maya y sus islas, amo a la gente del lugar, que se esfuerza por conservar sus tradiciones y por respetar y conservar la naturaleza, amo la comida prehispánica que los descendientes mayas siguen preparando con las mismas recetas que hace cientos de años. Me encanta el color del mar y la arena, amo lo cristalino del agua y el poder observar la vida marina cerca de los arrecifes, amo la historia de la península, las narraciones ancestrales de los pobladores y encontrar sorpresas fosilizadas que me recuerdan el pasado de México y sus islas. Amo los pequeños pueblos y los cenotes escondidos. Amo tener la opción de lujo o ecoturismo, ¡qué mejor! Insisto, ¡no hay nada que no ame de Quintana Roo!
Hace 40 anos cuando mis papas se casaron fueron a Isla Mujeres de luna de miel junto con otra pareja de recien casados, mi papa y su mejor amigo en ese entonces se tomaron una foto nadando con las tortugas en El Garrafon, casi 20 anos despues cuando mi familia y yo visitabamos Isla mujeres mi hermano y yo nos tomamos otra foto muy similar en el mismo lugar, ahora mi hermano y yo estamos a punto de cumplir 40 anos y queremos hacer otro viaje juntos a Cancun y la Riviera Maya este Verano, por supuesto queremos regresar a el parque El Garrafon con nuestras hijas y tomar muchas fotos para que ellas comiencen su propia historia en el bello Quintana Roo!!!
Amo a cancún y la Riviera Maya por la gente!! Todos son muy cariñosos y muy agradables! Además, la naturaleza del lugar es increíble! Y obviamente también las playas! Hay mil razones por amar Cancún y la Riviera Maya pero para mi garrafón también se me hace muy increíble! A lo mejor es porque soy nativa a Isla Mujeres!!

I luv Cancun and the Riviera Maya, because of all the beautiful sights, ecoparks, underground caves, underground rivers, and then the white sand beaches, in Cancun the biggest beach I’ve ever seen, cool on the feet, fun in the beautiful blue water. Quiet if you want a quiet vacation, fun and crazy if you want that kind of vacation. And of course the always wonderful Mexican people, who make the vacation that much better! Ole!

Love Garrafon!!
We stayed on Isla Mujeres for a week last October and spent a whole day at Garrafon. Actually we were the first ones in the park and the last ones out. We snorkeled, ate, drank, zip-lined, ate, laid in the sun,swam in the pool, browsed through the shop and did it all over again. We are hoping to come back this October – but are limited in our resources and would love 2 free passes to make it possible!!
