Golden Shores should be complete (or almost complete) right now and I have been told that the project was going to be finished in Cancun this week. Hope you have a fantastic trip and a splendid beach!

I don’t think they will reach the Solaris before the first week of January, but, the last time I was out there the beach was not bad at all. It does tend to come and go with the weather, but the Solaris hotels were lucky in that they didn’t seem to have the same erosion as other hotels. Hope your trip is wonderful!

I am staying a the GR solaris the first week in Jan. Will they be fixing the beaches before then?

Sadly, I don’t think they are going to reconstruct that area of the beach. I wish I had better news for you, they should have taken that area into consideration. I know there is concern about the effect of the program on the reefs, I do hope that they take every precaution to ensure that they are protected. Best of luck!
